When two saves touch the same lines, Savepoint shows them side by side. Turn on “AI suggest picks” and it pre-picks the better version for every conflict. You still get the final word. Auto-resolve safe conflicts handles the obvious ones (whitespace, tiny diffs) without bothering you.

Is it free?
Yes. Free forever for solo projects on your own computer. Paid plans add AI features (auto-naming saves, AI conflict help) and team features (live cursors, shared inbox, single sign-on for businesses). You can ignore all of that and never pay anything.
What do I get on a paid plan?
Team ($8/seat/month, up to 3 people): the sharing inbox, live cursors, and AI features — auto-named saves, AI suggestions for conflict picks, and auto-resolve for simple conflicts. Business ($25/seat/month, up to 50 people): everything in Team plus single sign-on, audit logs, and higher AI usage. Enterprise: custom seats, custom AI quotas.
How does the AI actually help?
Three places. (1) When you save a snapshot, AI reads what changed and suggests a name like "Add tests for src/utils/format.ts" so you don't have to think. (2) When two saves disagree on the same lines, AI picks the better version for each conflict — you still confirm. (3) For tiny conflicts (whitespace, one-line diffs), AI just resolves them automatically. All optional toggles.
Do I need a GitHub account?
Nope. You can use Savepoint without signing into anything. If you already have a GitHub account, you can connect it for free backups, but that's optional.
Will my code get sent to your servers?
Only if you flip the “Cloud” switch on a project. Otherwise everything stays on your laptop. Even when cloud is on, you choose where it backs up (your GitHub, or ours).
Will it work with my existing project?
Yes. If you've already been saving with the standard tools (Git), Savepoint reads them straight away. Open the folder and you'll see all your old saves immediately.
When does it come out?

Will there be a Windows version?

How's this different from GitHub Desktop?
GitHub Desktop is built for people who already understand all the terminology. Savepoint is built for everyone else. Same idea, but with words like “save” and “timeline” instead of “commit” and “rebase.” AI helpers are built in, not bolted on.
